What is TNPSC Group 2 Examination?

The TNPSC group 2 exam is conducted in three stages for the recruitment of grade B officers to work in the departments of the Tamil Nadu Government it is a state-level exam conducted by the Tamil Nadu public service commission conducted once a year the examination will be conducted in both Tamil and English the candidates has to apply for this examination only via online and the examination will be conducted in offline mode the selection process will be made in three stages,

1. Preliminary Examination

2 . Main Examination

3. Interview

TNPSC GROUP 2 syllabus:

The Tamil Nadu public service commission is conducting the group 2 examination every year, recently the commission released the syllabus for the TNPSC group 2 examination.

TNPSC Group 2 Exam Pattern:

The TNPSC group 2 examination will be conducted in three stages they are

1. preliminary examination

2. main examination

3. interview

In each round the candidate has to score the required minimum cut-off to qualify for the next round of examination, the syllabus for each examination will be released along with the notification.

TNPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam Pattern:

TNPSC Group 2 preliminary examination will be conducted for 300 marks in which 200 questions will be there each question carries 1.5 marks.

Note: the preliminary question will be of MCQ type where an OMR sheet will be given in which you need to shade the correct option for the given question in recent times the TNPSC has implemented a new method in examination to prevent malpractices that for each question 4 options will be given in the question papers if you don’t know the answer for any question you need to shade the fifth option that is option “e” you need to answer all the 200 questions in the OMR sheet so that no one can change or modify your selection in the examination.

TNPSC Group 2 Mains Exam Pattern:

Whenever it comes to the main examination in any group of TNPSC exams, it will not be conducted as a preliminary exam because the main examination in TNPSC is a kind of written examination where we need to write the answer for the question theoretically, also this main examination is going to be a tricky examination where the questions will not be asked from the subjects this examination will be testing the candidate’s knowledge in general and their language proficiency in Tamil and English since an employee while working in the offices has to deal with both the languages.

There will be two questions asked from Tamil to English translation and 2 questions from English to Tamil translation each question carries 25 marks this is going to be our part A in TNPSC group 2 main examination whereas in part B there will be questions from precise writing, comprehension, Hints development, essay writing on thirukkural, letter writing (official), in each topic there will be two questions each question carries 20 marks totally TNPSC group 2 main examination will be conducted for 300 marks.

NOTE: while writing the TNPSC group 2 main examination you must remember that you need to score a minimum qualifying mark, that is out of a hundred you must score 25 then only your part b section will be considered for evaluation for interview post another oral test will be conducted for those who cleared the TNPSC group 2 main written examination it will be conducted for 40 marks the minimum qualifying marks for all communities is 102 out of 340 for noninterview posts no oral tests will be conducted and the candidate must score minimum qualifying mark of 90 out of 300 for all communities.

TNPSC Group 2 2022 Exam Date:

The TNPSC conducts group 2 and group 2A examinations every year, due to the covid-19 outbreak the commission still did not release any notification for the group 2 exams but the situation is coming back to normal we can expect all the examinations in the upcoming dates so this is the right time for you to make use of the time and study well because as expected there might be a large number of vacancies could be open in the government so it would be useful for you all to clear the examination with minimum cutoff. we can surely expect the TNPSC group 2 and group 2A examinations in the year 2022.

TNPSC Posts Included:

In general, if we consider TNPSC Group 2 posts you will be working as an officer ranked as grade 2 in the particular department that you are working with. Ex: if you get a job in the revenue department you will be posted as sub-registrar grade 2.

TNPSC Group 2 Previous Year Question Paper:

Age Limit For TNPSC Group 2:

The age limit for TNPSC group 2 examination is, for different category of candidates for the general category the minimum age is 18 years at the maximum age is 30 years whereas for those who come under reserved category there is no upper age limit include gas like SC ST MBC BCM.

TNPSC Group 2 Salary:

The salary for those who are working under group 2 where is from level 10 to level 19 that is is anyone working under group 2 category will get a salary around 20600 – 117600 the formula for calculating group 2 salary is basic pay + grade pay + dearness allowance + other allowances.

TNPSC Group 2 Educational Qualification:

To become eligible to write the TNPSC group 2 exam a candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized university or institute and they must be a minimum of 18 years old however for some posts the minimum age limit may vary depending upon the rank of the post also for some post preference will be given to those who have completed the relevant degree for the post. to know more about the required degree you can refer to the notification.

TNPSC Group 2 Application Fees:

The candidates who need to apply for the TNPSC group 2 examination has to pay the fees of half 250 rupees only online and this fee is only for those who are coming under general and OBC category and for those who are coming under SC and ST category the fees is exempted they no need to pay any application fees.
